CBP/β‐Catenin Signaling in Hepatocytes Plays Pivotal Roles in MMP‐7‐Mediated Liver Fibrosis in a Metabolic Dysfunction‐Associated Steatohepatitis Mouse Model

open access: yesThe FASEB Journal, Volume 40, Issue 6, 31 March 2026.
CDAHFD‐induced hepatic steatosis stimulates CBP/β‐catenin signaling in hepatocytes, leading to increased production of the downstream effector MMP‐7. Hepatocyte‐derived MMP‐7 contributes to fibrogenic responses and is associated with the progression of liver fibrosis.

Critical Review on the Molecular Behavior of Surfactants at the Oil–Water Interface During Oil Displacement

open access: yesEnergy Science &Engineering, Volume 14, Issue 3, Page 1626-1662, March 2026.
This review systematically explores the molecular behavior of diverse surfactants (anionic, cationic, nonionic, amphoteric) at the oil–water interface through molecular dynamics simulations. It highlights their roles in reducing interfacial tension, altering interfacial structure, and enhancing oil recovery efficiency.

Synthesis and Evaluation of Novel Thermoplastic Elastomers via Anionic Polymerization of Bio‐Based α‐Methyl‐p‐Methylstyrene

open access: yesJournal of Polymer Science, Volume 64, Issue 3, Page 743-751, 1 February 2026.
Bio‐based PAMMS‐PI‐PAMMS triblock copolymers prepared via sequential anionic polymerization display widely tunable tensile behavior. Variation of the block composition enables systematic control of strength and extensibility, offering a sustainable platform for thermoplastic elastomers. ABSTRACT In this study, we examined novel thermoplastic elastomers

A Brief Guide to Performing Pharmacological Studies In Vitro: Reflections from the EORTC-PAMM Course “Preclinical and Early-phase Clinical Pharmacology”

open access: yesAnticancer Research, 2019
One aim of cell-based in vitro assays is to identify the best drug candidate to develop using the best tumor cell model. This is challenging in every anticancer drug discovery process.

TS Gene Polymorphisms Are Not Good Markers of Response to 5-FU Therapy in Stage III Colon Cancer Patients

open access: yesAnalytical Cellular Pathology, 2010
Aim: Although the predictive and prognostic value of thymidylate synthase (TS) expression and gene polymorphism in colon cancer has been widely studied, the results are inconclusive probably because of methodological differences.
