Abstract OBJECTIVES/BACKGROUND Climate change has raised concerns about the imbalance between anthocyanin and sugar levels in grapevines. High temperatures tend to reduce anthocyanin content by inhibiting its synthesis and increasing degradation, while simultaneously enhancing sugar accumulation.
