Compound Meteorological and Hydrological Hot‐Dry and Hot‐Wet Extremes Over Global Land Areas: Spatiotemporal Changes, Attribution, and Drivers

open access: yesInternational Journal of Climatology, EarlyView.
The changes in joint return period of compound meteorological hot‐dry (CMHHE) and hot‐wet (CMHWE) and compound hydrological hot‐dry (CHHDE) and hot‐wet (CHHWE) extremes were attributed to changes in associated univariate extremes and their dependence.

Clinical Applications of 3D Specimen Scanning and Margin Mapping in Musculoskeletal Oncology: A 36 Patient Case Series

open access: yesJournal of Surgical Oncology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Text‐based pathology reports inadequately communicate complex three‐dimensional (3D) relationships in musculoskeletal oncology, potentially contributing to errors in re‐resection and adjuvant treatment planning. While our prior 7‐case pilot study established technical feasibility, the scalability of this workflow and its utility as ...

Energy goal documentation and early initiation of enteral nutrition in critically ill children: A retrospective evaluation of a quality improvement project

open access: yesNutrition in Clinical Practice, EarlyView.
Abstract Background Early documentation of energy goals has been associated with better nutrition outcomes. We performed a successful project improving the rate of early documentation of energy goals from 30% to 97%. We then conducted a retrospective study of children admitted to the pediatric intensive care unit (PICU) the year before and after ...

The Genetic Legacy of Cretan Landrace Grapevines and Their Relationship to the Southern Levant

open access: yesPLANTS, PEOPLE, PLANET, EarlyView.
Grapes are more than an agricultural crop; they are a vital part of human history, economy, and culture. Yet the origins of many traditional varieties remain unclear. By studying the genetics of Cretan grapes, we discovered that they are a “genetic mosaic”—combining local lineages with those from the Southern Levant and Eastern Europe.
