American Journal of Medical Genetics, 2000
We report on a Mexican girl who developed cerebellar ataxia at age 3 years and pancytopenia at age 13 years. Cerebral computed tomography scan and magnetic resonance imaging showed evidence of severe cerebellar atrophy. Telangiectasias were not present; immunoglobulins and alpha-fetoprotein levels were normal.

Pancytopenia Induced by Cephalothin
JAMA: The Journal of the American Medical Association, 1981VARIED hematologic alterations induced by cephalothin sodium have been reported, among them hemolytic anemia, 1-3 thrombocytopenia, 4,5 and occasionally agranulocytosis. 6-8 We had the opportunity to treat a patient who received cephalothin for the treatment of bacterial endocarditis and in whom pancytopenia developed. The widespread use of cephalothin

Pernicious Anemia Presenting With Pancytopenia and Hemolysis: A Case Report
, 2019Vitamin B12 deficiency is a well-known cause of anemia. Pancytopenia and hemolysis are less frequently observed in vitamin B12 deficiency. Reported is the case of a 58-year-old man who presented with dyspnea on exertion, fatigue, and unintentional weight

Dyskeratosis congenita with pancytopenia
Clinical and Experimental Dermatology, 1985Summary Dyskeratosis congenita is a rare inherited disorder characterized by skin pigmentation, nail dystrophy, leukoplakia and a variable number of additional features. Cytomegalovirus as a Cause of Pancytopenia
Leukemia & Lymphoma, 1996Human cytomegalovirus, HCMV, infects most of the population by adulthood; The primary infection is often accompanied by transient neutropenia and thrombocytopenia, and is followed by a period asymtomatic viral latency. In the setting of bone marrow transplantation, however, the immunosuppressed state of the recipient enables HCMV to re-activate or to ...

Pancytopenia and Hepatosplenomegaly in Oxalosis
Archives of Internal Medicine, 1984A 25-year-old woman with oxalosis and end-stage renal disease had pancytopenia and massive hepatosplenomegaly associated with extensive bone marrow deposition of calcium oxalate. A ferrokinetic study suggested profound reduction in erythrocyte production, and peripheral blood smears were compatible with myelophthisis and extramedullary hematopoiesis ...

Pancytopenia in a Patient With Hypothyroidism
JAMA, 2016A 25-year-old woman with history of iron-deficiency anemia and hypothyroidism presented with fatigue and weight loss for 3 weeks. She was admitted recently for hypothyroidism, with a thyroid-stimulating hormone level of 209.1 µIU/mL (reference range, 0.4-4.0 µIU/mL) and free thyroxine level of 0.4 ng/dL (reference range, 0.7-1.5 ng/dL).

Pancytopenia Induced by Hypothermia
Journal of Pediatric Hematology/Oncology, 2002Hypothermia has been demonstrated to induce pancytopenia in animals, but whether this association exists in humans is unknown. The authors report the case of an 8-year-old girl in whom hypothermia (temperature 33 degrees C-35 degrees C) is the cause of pancytopenia.
