Abstract Fever, non‐regenerative anaemia and leukopenia were documented in a 7‐year‐old, entire, male Akita Inu dog. The serum biochemistry and urinalysis were unremarkable. Tests for infectious agents were negative, except for SNAP 4Dx seropositive for Anaplasma phagocytophilum or A. platys. PCR for Anaplasma spp. was negative.

A machine learning model using predialysis data predicted sudden events during or after hemodialysis with high accuracy (auROC: 0.889). The key predictors included emergency hospitalization, recent surgery, high heart rate, low albumin levels, and high CRP.

Gene expression signature for early prediction of late occurring pancytopenia in irradiated baboons
Based on gene expression changes measured in the peripheral blood within the first 2 days after irradiation, we predicted a pancytopenia in a baboon model. Eighteen baboons were irradiated with 2.5 or 5 Gy.
