Piezothermoelastic Solution for Angle-Ply Laminated Cylindrical Panel

Journal of Intelligent Material Systems and Structures, 1997
A three dimensional solution is presented for simply supported, angle-ply laminated hybrid cylindrical panel under cylindrical bending. The differential equations with variable coefficients are solved by the modified Frobenius method. Numerical results are presented for sinusoidal loads to illustrate the effect of the thickness parameter and the ...

The crush resistance of four-panel angle elements

International Journal of Impact Engineering, 2015
Abstract Four-panel angle elements are frequently encountered in multi-cell sections. To predict the energy absorption of such sections under axial loading, theoretical models have to be established for possible collapse modes of these elements. In this paper, four-panel angle elements are classified into four types: corner element, K-shaped, X ...

Determination of the solar cell panel installation angle

4th IEEE International Conference on Power Electronics and Drive Systems. IEEE PEDS 2001 - Indonesia. Proceedings (Cat. No.01TH8594), 2005
The output power of the solar cell panel is highly affected by the sunlight incident angle. The efficiency can be improved if the solar cell panel is properly installed with the optimum angle. The relationship between the sunlight incident angle and the sunlight radiation intensity on the solar cell panel surface is presented in this paper.

Experiment on PV panels tilt angle and dust

2016 5th International Conference on Electronic Devices, Systems and Applications (ICEDSA), 2016
The performance of PV solar panels depend on dust accumulated on them and tilt angle. For every location in the world there is an optimum tilt angle of dust free PV panels for best performance. However, in some areas of the world dust is an obstacle for PV panels operation.

Spring-in of angled sandwich panels

Composites Science and Technology, 2005
This paper presents a simple analytical model for the prediction of thermo-elastic deformation (spring-in) of angled composite sandwich panels. The development of the model is presented and the simplifying assumptions are clearly defined. Contributions from different mechanisms are clearly shown which gives a good understanding of the problem.

Anti-symmetric angle-ply laminated thick cylindrical panels

International Journal of Solids and Structures, 1998
Abstract Hither-to-fore an unavailable analytical solution (strong form or differential form) to the boundary-value problem of advanced fiber reinforced anti-symmetric angle-ply laminated cylindrical panels of rectangular planform subjected to static loadings is presented. A variationally consistent higher shell theory is utilized that generates five
