This also applies to the financial sector, where in recent months regulators have been asked to reflect on how rule changes could contribute to competitiveness and growth. The Prevent Counter‐Terrorism Strategy After Southport

Abstract The counter‐terrorism Prevent Strategy has recently undergone a significant government review by David Anderson KC following the 2024 murders in Southport. The attacker was referred three times to Prevent without being engaged because he was deemed not to be susceptible to terrorist ideologies.

Claiming kinship through ‘filial heart’: migrant care workers in ageing Shanghai Revendiquer la parenté par le « cœur filial » : travailleurs migrants du care dans Shanghai vieillissante

Drawing on the ethnography of migrant care workers in eldercare in Shanghai, this article reveals the evolving landscape of caregiving and kinship practices in contemporary China. The ethnography presents the emic perspective of care workers, who actively develop symbolic trajectories for claiming kinship through ‘filial heart’ in caregiving.

The autonomy of the United Wa State Army of Myanmar today is said to be based on the egalitarianism of Wa communities in the past. The analysis of commensuration in kinship, sacrifice, and war challenges these portrayals of autonomy and egalitarianism.

Nyau masked dancers embodying a variety of people, animals, and objects appear at many public events in Chewa areas of Malawi. Understood to be the physical manifestation of ancestral spirits, these entities are classified as ‘not human’ and transgress ordinary morality, mocking and threatening audiences.
