The inscription AE 1961, 22 from between 54 and 68 AD is not an evidence for the separation of Illyricum into Dalmatia and Pannonia as believed by P. Kovacs. In this private dedication to Nero the name Pannonia seems to have been used instead of the official name. There is no evidence that Illyricum Inferius was called Pannonia before Vespasian.
