El objetivo principal de esta contribución fue llevar a cabo un estudio sistemático y evolutivo de los Panochthini (Glyptodotidae “Hoplophorinae”) (Mioceno tardío-Pleistoceno tardío), evaluando su importancia como indicadores bioestratigráficos.
