Management of Mandibular Third Molars With an Interradicular Inferior Alveolar Nerve Using Ultrasonic Surgery: A Case Series of Three Patients

open access: yesClinical Case Reports, Volume 14, Issue 9, September 2026.
ABSTRACT The interradicular course of the inferior alveolar nerve represents a significant challenge for oral surgeon. In this context, ultrasonic surgery may provide a precise and safe alternative for sectioning of impacted third molar roots, particularly in procedures involving mandibular molars with an interradicular course of the inferior alveolar ...

Full‐Mouth Rehabilitation With Maxillary Implant‐Supported Bar Overdenture Opposing Mandibular Natural‐Tooth and Implant‐Supported Fixed Prostheses: A Technical and Case Report

open access: yesClinical Case Reports, Volume 14, Issue 9, September 2026.
ABSTRACT Transitioning from natural teeth to prostheses is challenging for both patients and clinicians. Particularly, achieving adequate support, retention, and stability for conventional removable dentures is difficult when the opposing arch is restored using fixed prostheses.

Diagnostic Accuracy of Artificial Intelligence Models for Detecting Odontogenic Keratocytes on CBCT Imaging: A Systematic Review and Meta‐Analysis

open access: yesHealth Science Reports, Volume 9, Issue 9, September 2026.
ABSTRACT Background and Aims Differentiating odontogenic keratocyst (OKC) from other radiolucent jaw lesions like ameloblastoma is clinically important but radiographically difficult. Recent advances in artificial intelligence (AI) show promise for enhancing diagnosis using cone‐beam computed tomography (CBCT).

Evaluation of Panoramic Acquisition Errors by Predoctoral Dental Students

open access: yesJournal of Dental Education, Volume 90, Issue 9, Page 1335-1341, September 2026.
ABSTRACT Objectives Panoramic radiography is commonly used in the management of dental‐alveolar pathology. Novice clinicians are prone to technical errors that diminish the diagnostic quality of radiographs. The objective of this study was to analyze technical errors made during panoramic exposures by third‐year (D3) dental students in order to enhance

Assessment of Vertebral Body Bone Quality in Adolescent Idiopathic Scoliosis (AIS) Using Micro‐CT, qBEI, and Nanoindentation—A Case Study

open access: yesJOR SPINE, Volume 9, Issue 3, September 2026.
A new biopsy protocol enabled the first combined micro‐CT, qBEI, and nanoindentation study of AIS vertebral bodies, revealing slightly thicker trabeculae, broader mineralization distribution, and decreasing mineralization and reduced modulus with vertebral wedge angle severity—supporting a role for altered bone quality in AIS.
