Visualizing the mandibular ramus in panoramic radiography
Oral Surgery, Oral Medicine, Oral Pathology, 1971Abstract Radiographic images of the adult mandibular ramus with its condyloid and coronoid processes are frequently distorted on Panorex radiographs taken in the conventional manner. This distortion is due to the relationship of the ramus to the focal trough and to the direction of the x-ray beam.

Postoperative Maxillary Cysts in Panoramic Radiography
Dentomaxillofacial Radiology, 1978Panoramic radiographic findings of postoperative maxillary cysts are presented. According to linuma3 4, the cysts appear mainly as monolocular cystic radiolucencies, on or near the floor of the maxillary sinus in patients who have had an operation on the maxillary sinus 10 to 20 years previously.

Midfacial fractures in dental panoramic radiography

Radiographs of eighty-two patients were analyzed retrospectively in cases in which both panoramic and conventional skull radiographs were available.
