Hydrated Silica in Oxia Planum, Mars
Abstract Hydrated silica (SiO2·nH2O; opal) is important for understanding the geological and aqueous history and habitability of Mars, owing to its genesis in a wide range of aqueous environments and its high biosignature preservation potential relative to other hydrated minerals.

Fusion of multispectral and hyperspectral images based on sparse representation [PDF]
National audienceThis paper presents an algorithm based on sparse representation for fusing hyperspectral and multispectral images. The observed images are assumed to be obtained by spectral or spatial degradations of the high resolution hyperspectral ...

Co‐DeepNet: A Cooperative Convolutional Neural Network for DNA Methylation‐Based Age Prediction
ABSTRACT Prediction of the age of each individual is possible using the changing pattern of DNA methylation with age. In this paper an age prediction approach to work out multivariate regression problems using DNA methylation data is developed. In this research study a convolutional neural network (CNN)‐based model optimised by the genetic algorithm ...

Image Restoration for the MRA-Based Pansharpening Method
By merging high-resolution panchromatic (PAN) images with low-resolution multispectral (MS) images, high-resolution MS images with complementary information can be obtained, i.e., pansharpening.

MULTISPECTRAL PANSHARPENING APPROACH USING PULSE-COUPLED NEURAL NETWORK SEGMENTATION [PDF]
The paper proposes a novel pansharpening method based on the pulse-coupled neural network segmentation. In the new method, uniform injection gains of each region are estimated through PCNN segmentation rather than through a simple square window.

We used fixed‐wing drones and Beyond Visual Line of Sight flying to create high‐resolution imagery and Digital Surface Models (DSMs) of six large king penguin colonies (colony population sizes ranging from 10,671 to 132,577 pairs) in South Georgia. We used a novel DSM‐based method to facilitate automated and semi‐automated counts of each colony to ...

This study develops a remote sensing methodology that integrates high‐resolution satellite imagery with field validation to map the Wahiba Dune Field of Oman. Findings reveal the sensitivity of contemporary geomorphic surfaces to local sediment dynamics and highlight the value of multi‐scale analysis in interpreting dune field evolution.

MSAC-Net: 3D Multi-Scale Attention Convolutional Network for Multi-Spectral Imagery Pansharpening
Pansharpening fuses spectral information from the multi-spectral image and spatial information from the panchromatic image, generating super-resolution multi-spectral images with high spatial resolution.
