Characterization of Pantoea dispersa UQ68J: producer of a highly efficient sucrose isomerase for isomaltulose biosynthesis [PDF]
Isolation, identification and characterization of a highly efficient isomaltulose producer. After an enrichment procedure for bacteria likely to metabolize isomaltulose in sucrose-rich environments, 578 isolates were screened for efficient isomaltulose biosynthesis using an aniline/diphenylamine assay and capillary electrophoresis. An isolate designated

Population detonation and rapid industrialization are the major factors behind the reduction in cultivable land that affects crop production seriously. This situation is further being deteriorated due to the negative effects of abiotic stresses. Under such conditions, plant growth-promoting rhizobacteria (PGPR) are found to improve crop production ...

First Report of Leaf Blight of Rice Caused by Pantoea ananatis and Pantoea dispersa in Malaysia
Plant Disease, 2019In September to December 2016, the most severe leaf blight disease outbreak in the last 30 years occurred in the paddy field of Sekinchan, Selangor, Malaysia, causing 50 to 70% loss of the crop yield. During this outbreak, the newly introduced rice cultivar MR 284 suffered the most damage.

ABSTRACTGlucosamine (GlcN) is a widely utilized amino monosaccharide. It is traditionally synthesized from N‐acetylglucosamine (GlcNAc) via chemical processes that pose environmental threats. In pursuit of a greener alternative, our investigation explored biocatalysis with a Pantoea dispersa derived deacetylase (Pd‐nagA), showcasing its efficacy as a ...

To improve the yield of sucrose isomerase from Pantoea dispersa UQ68J, we studied the effect of different signal peptides and fermentation conditions on sucrose isomerase expression in Escherichia coli. The gene of sucrose isomerase was optimized and expressed in E. coli BL21 (DE3) with native signal peptide which was named as ORI strain. The total and
