Pantoea dispersa rhinosinusitis: clinical aspects of a rare sinonasal pathogen

European Archives of Oto-Rhino-Laryngology, 2022
There is no report in the literature targeting the role of Pantoea dispersa in rhinosinusitis and P. dispersa has not been identified as a commensal bacterium in the sinonasal cavity. We aimed to investigate the role of P. dispersa in rhinosinusitis. We retrospectively reviewed the data of patients diagnosed with rhinosinusitis at a medical center in ...

Bioconversion of lutein to form aroma compounds by Pantoea dispersa

Biotechnology Letters, 2015
To investigate the conversion of lutein, a carotenoid, to aroma compounds by Pantoea dispersa Y08, a lutein-degrading bacterium isolated from marigold flower residue. Bioconversion conditions, including substrate concentration, applied co-solvent and reaction time, were optimized.A maximum biodegradation yield of 80 % for lutein at 10 g/l was achieved.

Biodegradation of phthalate esters by Pantoea dispersa BJQ0007 isolated from Baijiu

Journal of Food Composition and Analysis, 2022
Abstract Baijiu is a famous Chinese alcoholic beverage and is produced by the co-fermentation of microorganisms with grains as the raw materials. Phthalate esters (PAEs) are toxic chemicals and frequently detected in Baijiu. Identification of microorganisms that could degrade PAEs was recognized as a possible way to solve the contamination.

Abatement of arsenic-induced phytotoxic effects in rice seedlings by an arsenic-resistant Pantoea dispersa strain

Environmental Science and Pollution Research, 2021
Population detonation and rapid industrialization are the major factors behind the reduction in cultivable land that affects crop production seriously. This situation is further being deteriorated due to the negative effects of abiotic stresses. Under such conditions, plant growth-promoting rhizobacteria (PGPR) are found to improve crop production ...

Statistical screenings of medium components for the production of chitinase by the marine isolate Pantoea dispersa

Biochemical Engineering Journal, 2006
Abstract Effect of 19 different medium components on chitinase production by marine isolate Pantoea dispersa was studied by Plackett–Burman design. Each component was screened on the basis of ‘ p ’ (probability) value, which was at 95% or above of confidence level.
