Transient wave propagation analysis of a pantograph- catenary system

This paper proposes a systematic method to analyze the dynamic response of an overhead catenary with pantographs moving at constant speed. The overhead catenary is modeled as a onedimensional infinite-length string, which is periodically supported by hangers.
