An unexpected case of panuveitis

We report a case of sight-threatening secondary syphilis with HIV co-infection where atypical pattern of skin manifestations resulted in a delay in making the correct diagnosis. However, despite marked visual loss by the time correct diagnosis was made, the patient responded well, albeit slowly, to a course of intravenous benzyl penicillin.

To determine the safety and efficacy of low-dose methotrexate (MTX) for sarcoid-associated panuveitis.Retrospective noncomparative case series.Twenty eyes from 11 patients were analyzed. Eight patients had sarcoidosis. Three patients were clinically suspected of sarcoidosis despite negative laboratory testing.

Panuveitis in Association with Pseudotumor Cerebri

We report a case of an 11-year-old girl with bilateral panuveitis in association with pseudotumor cerebri. The patient underwent complete ophthalmologic, neurologic, and laboratory evaluations and was treated with therapy for pseudotumor cerebri. The patient met the diagnostic criteria for pseudotumor cerebri and also had panuveitis.

A 57 years old myopic healthy woman came to the urgent care in Darlington Memorial Hospital, UK for follow up after anterior uveitis in her left eye.
