Microfluidic Paper-Based Analytical Device for Histidine Determination
Applied Biochemistry and Biotechnology, 2020A laminated paper-based analytical device (LPAD) for histidine detection was fabricated from a chromatography filtration paper and laminate films. Histidine recognition was effected by histidyl-tRNA synthetase (HisRS), and its detection was signaled colorimetrically based on the molybdenum blue reaction.

Electrogenerated Chemiluminescence Detection in Paper-Based Microfluidic Sensors
Analytical Chemistry, 2011This paper describes the first approach at combining paper microfluidics with electrochemiluminescent (ECL) detection. Inkjet printing is used to produce paper microfluidic substrates which are combined with screen-printed electrodes (SPEs) to create simple, cheap, disposable sensors which can be read without a traditional photodetector.

Paper-Based Microfluidic Device with Upconversion Fluorescence Assay
Analytical Chemistry, 2013A paper-based microfluidic device with upconversion fluorescence assay (named as UC-μPAD) is proposed. The device is fabricated on a normal office printing sheet with a simple plotting method. Upconversion phosphors (UCPs) tagged with specific probes are spotted to the test zones on the μPAD, followed by the introduction of assay targets.
