PAPR reduction through lossy coding

2017 International Conference on Algorithms, Methodology, Models and Applications in Emerging Technologies (ICAMMAET), 2017
Orthogonal Frequency division multiplexing is the modulation technique used for the fourth generation wireless communication system. In OFDM, Signals can be modulated by multiple carriers. OFDM uses the bandwidth of the spectrum efficiently. But the limitation of the OFDM system is the high Peak to Average Power Ratio (PAPR) which results in the ...

PAPR Reduction by Symbol Nulling

VTC Spring 2009 - IEEE 69th Vehicular Technology Conference, 2009
As a multicarrier signal can exhibit large peaks in the time domain, the amplifier used to transmit the multicarrier signal must be highly linear, and thus expensive, to avoid non-linear signal distortion. To reduce the high peak-to-average power ratio, and hence to allow cheaper amplifiers, several techniques are described in the literature.

PAPR Reduction Scheme using Maximum Cross Correlation

IEEE Communications Letters, 2012
This letter presents an efficient technique to reduce the impact of nonlinear power amplifiers on the bit error rate (BER) of orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) systems. The proposed technique is based on the well-established Partial Transmit Sequence (PTS), a power amplifier model, and a simple single point cross correlator.

PAPR reduction in OFDM systems

2014 Annual IEEE India Conference (INDICON), 2014
In a communication system, operation of the transmitter power amplifier is limited to linear range. Input signal with an amplitude more than the transmitter power amplifier linear range results in signal distortion. Hence, the input signal to the transmitter should be with low peak to average power ratio.

PAPR-based DSSS signal detection

2017 International Conference on Information and Communication Technology Convergence (ICTC), 2017
A new detection algorithm for direct sequence spread spectrum (DSSS) signals using peak-to-average power ratio (PAPR) is proposed. The received signals are divided into several blocks. Then we calculate peak-to-average power ratio of each block and we use the average of peak-to-average power ratios as test statistics.

MIMO OFDM PAPR Reduction Techniques

International Journal of Innovative Science and Research Technology
Wireless communication plays a vital role in modern life. Over time, and with the rise in user demands, the field of communication has experienced significant advancements. To enhance transmission efficiency, single-carrier wave systems are increasingly being replaced by multi-carrier wave technologies such as MIMO-OFDM, which has become widely adopted.
