Intelligent interleaver for PAPR reduction

2008 Second International Conference on Electrical Engineering, 2008
In orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) systems, one of the major problems to be tackled is high peak to average power ratio (PAPR). In this paper a PAPR reduction scheme for OFDM system is proposed that takes the advantage of the classification capability of learning vector quantization (LVQ) networks.

PAPR reduction in OFDM systems

2014 Annual IEEE India Conference (INDICON), 2014
In a communication system, operation of the transmitter power amplifier is limited to linear range. Input signal with an amplitude more than the transmitter power amplifier linear range results in signal distortion. Hence, the input signal to the transmitter should be with low peak to average power ratio.

PAPR reduction of OFDM by random phase updating

The 13th IEEE International Symposium on Personal, Indoor and Mobile Radio Communications, 2003
A novel random phase updating algorithm for peak-to-average power ratio (PAPR) reduction of the OFDM signal is addressed. The phase of each subcarrier is updated by a random increment until the PAPR goes below a certain threshold level. The influence of different distributions for the phase increments and the variance of distributions on the mean and ...

A hybrid PAPR reduction scheme for coded OFDM

IEEE Transactions on Wireless Communications, 2006
We consider schemes for reducing the peak-to-average power ratio (PAPR) in coded orthogonal frequency-division multiplexing (OFDM) systems. We develop a new PAPR reduction technique using the label-inserted encoder of a random-like code and the soft amplitude limiter (SAL).

A method for PAPR reduction in MSE-OFDM systems

20th International Conference on Advanced Information Networking and Applications - Volume 1 (AINA'06), 2006
High peak to average power ratio (PAPR) of the transmitted signal is a major drawback of multicarrier transmission such as orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM). This work considers the problem of PAPR reduction in a multi-symbol encapsulated OFDM (MSE-OFDM) system. This paper employs the discrete cosine transform (DCT) to the data sequence.

Improved Peak Windowing for PAPR Reduction in OFDM

VTC Spring 2009 - IEEE 69th Vehicular Technology Conference, 2009
The large peak to average power ratio (PAPR) in orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) transmission translates to system performance degradation due to low power efficiency in the presence of nonlinear power amplification. To reduce PAPR, many OFDM systems have adopted the peak windowing method.

Estimation of the Possibility of PAPR Reduction for Optimal Signals

2020
The method of optimizing single frequency signals with a predetermined reduction rate of the level of the energy spectrum and restrictions on the energy and peak-to-average power ratio (PAPR) is presented in this paper. The method of numerical solution of the optimization problem is shown.

Improved PTS for PAPR Reduction in OFDM Systems

The Third Advanced International Conference on Telecommunications (AICT'07), 2007
Partial transmit sequence (PTS) is a promising technique for reducing the high peak-to-average power ratio (PAPR) in orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) systems. In PTS, multiple candidate signals are generated and the optimal signal with the lowest PAPR is selected for transmission.

A Companding Technique for PAPR Reduction of OFDM Systems

2006 International Symposium on Intelligent Signal Processing and Communications, 2006
A companding technique using the hyperbolic tangent transform is proposed for reducing the peak-to-average-power ratio (PAPR) of orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) signals. This technique is practical and can be implemented easily in integrated circuit design.

A novel algorithm for PAPR reduction in LTE system

Proceedings of the International Conference on Advances in Computing, Communications and Informatics, 2012
High Peak to Average Power Ratio (PAPR) is still one of the most important challenges in Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM) system. In this paper, we proposed a hybrid algorithm that is based selected mapping (SLM) technique for PAPR reduction in OFDM system. This algorithm incorporates the transformations into the SLM technique.
