Empowering general practitioners in dementia care: The ANTISTIGMA education intervention in Europe

open access: yesInternational Journal of Geriatric Psychiatry, Volume 38, Issue 7, July 2023., 2023
Abstract Background There is a well‐documented lack or delay of diagnosis of dementia in all countries, including in Europe. Most general practitioners (GPs) have acquired adequate academic and scientific information about dementia but avoid using it in practice because of stigma.

Projected changes in Feddema climate characteristics in the Larger Carpathian Region by the end of the 21st century

open access: yesInternational Journal of Climatology, Volume 42, Issue 11, Page 5732-5747, September 2022., 2022
The Feddema climate classification treats not only thermal and moisture regime changes, but obtains the most information about climate and climate change seasonal aspects. It allows representation of discrete climate and seasonality type changes and continuous transitions in climate indices.

Clothing resistance and potential evapotranspiration as thermal climate indicators—The example of the Carpathian region

open access: yesInternational Journal of Climatology, Volume 41, Issue 5, Page 3107-3120, April 2021., 2021
Clothing resistance (rcl) and potential evapotranspiration (PET) are estimated and linked to characterise the annual thermal climate of the Carpathian region for the period 1971–2000. rcl strongly depends on human body somatotype variations, consequently so does the statistical relationship between rcl and PET.

Human thermal climate of the Carpathian Basin

open access: yesInternational Journal of Climatology, Volume 41, Issue S1, Page E1846-E1859, January 2021., 2021
Individual human thermal climates in terms of clothing resistance (rcl) and operative temperature (To) are estimated by using a new energy balance based model in the Carpathian Basin for the period 1971–2000. Interpersonal thermal climate variability increases towards cold climates and decreases towards the thermal neutrality zone.

Aspects of butterfly zoogeography of some Pannonian island mountains [PDF]

open access: yesZbornik Matice Srpske za Prirodne Nauke, 2015
Specific geology and tectonic history of the Pannonian plain is pointed out. Lower mountains and hills, specific to the area, are highlighted. They most likely were islands in the period of Paratethys and Pannonian Sea: Malé Karpaty, Vertes ...

Preliminary results on degree of thermal alteration recorded in the eastern part of Mt. Papuk, Slavonia, Croatia

open access: yesGeologia Croatica, 2011
In order to improve present knowledge of metamorphic conditions to which rocks of the Mt. Papuk have been subjected, selected samples belonging to the Radlovac metamorphic complex as well as overlying sedimentary rocks and parts of Psunj metamorphic ...

Species–area relationships on small islands differ among plant growth forms

open access: yesGlobal Ecology and Biogeography, Volume 29, Issue 5, Page 814-829, May 2020., 2020
Abstract Aim We tested whether species–area relationships of small islands differ among plant growth forms and whether this influences the prevalence of the small‐island effect (SIE). The SIE states that species richness on small islands is independent of island area or relates to area in a different way compared with larger islands.

Die Anwendung Der b-Diagramme bei Überfalteten Strukturen

open access: yesGeologia Croatica, 2010

Paleofluid Fingerprint as an Independent Paleogeographic Correlation Tool: An Example from Pennsylvanian Sandstones and Neighboring Crystalline Rocks (Tisia Composite Terrane, S Hungary)

open access: yesGeofluids, Volume 2020, Issue 1, 2020., 2020
In the basement areas of the southern Pannonian Basin, Central Europe (Tisia Composite Terrane, Hungary), Variscan blocks are essential components. The existing paleogeographic reconstructions, however, are often unclear and contradictory. This paper attempts to give a contribution for paleogeographic correlation of the Tisia using paleohydrological ...

Diversity of brown trout, Salmo trutta (Actinopterygii: Salmoniformes: Salmonidae), in the Danube River basin of Croatia revealed by mitochondrial DNA [PDF]

open access: yesActa Ichthyologica et Piscatoria, 2020
Background. The molecular diversity of brown trout, Salmo trutta Linnaeus, 1758, has been poorly studied in Croatia. The control region of mitochondrial DNA (CR mtDNA) is in addition to other molecular markers a reliable for identifying phylogenetic ...
