Enhancing Quasi‐Two‐Dimensional Electronic Structure in Bi2O2Se via Chlorine Substitution
Advanced Science, EarlyView.We demonstrate chlorine substitution as an effective strategy to transform Bi2O2Se into an exfoliatable van der Waals superlattice. Key electronic band feature, including indirect bandgap, effective mass is well preserved, while the 2D character of the system is sufficiently enhanced.

Advanced Science, EarlyView.The GeTe acting as “molecule scissors” can tailor chemical bond, the breaking of Ag‐Se bonds and the formation of Ge‐Se bonds occur in the A‐SnSe matrix, along with the formation of Ag2Se precipitates. This process helps to optimize the thermoelectric properties, and also improves its mechanical properties to a certain extent.
