A Quasilinear Parabolic Equation with Quadratic Growth of the Gradient modeling Incomplete Financial Markets [PDF]
We consider a quasilinear parabolic equation with quadratic gradient terms. It arises in the modelling of an optimal portfolio which maximizes the expected utility from terminal wealth in incomplete markets consisting of risky assets and non-tradable ...

A conductive ZrB2 ceramic composite strategy was developed for Mg3(Sb, Bi)2 thermoelectrics to regulate carrier transport and phonon scattering through heterointerface engineering. The 1.0 wt.% ZrB2 composite achieved enhanced room‐temperature performance, with a power factor of 28.51 µW cm−1 K−2 and a peak ZT of 1.22 at 573 K.

The numerical solution of the nonlinear hyperbolic-parabolic heat equation
The article discusses a mathematical model and a finite-difference scheme for the heating process of an infinite plate. The disadvantages of using the classical parabolic heat equation for this case and the rationale for using the hyperbolic heat ...

Disorder Driven Anisotropic Nonlinear Hall Effect in the Kagome Metal YbCo6Ge6 at Room Temperature
The intrinsic structural disorder and short‐range correlated motifs in the kagome metal YbCo6Ge6 constitute the primary mechanism for a robust and anisotropic nonlinear Hall effect (NLHE). This effect is sustained across a wide temperature range, achieving a nonlinear responsivity of up to ∼4.5 × 10−3 m/V at 70 K, higher than known disordered and ...

Analysis of radio propagation over rough sea surface with parabolic equation
An improved impedance boundary method was presented and the initial field was calculated by Green function, which improved the stability and accurateness of the parabolic equation(PE).Eventually, the forecast of propagation over rough sea surface had been ...

Atomistic Kinetics of Dislocation‐Mediated Grain Growth in Monolayer MoS2
Atomic‐resolution in‐situ heating microscopy directly visualizes dislocation‐mediated grain boundary migration and grain growth in monolayer MoS2. Mobile grain boundaries migrate through collective motion of Mo 5|7 dislocations, whereas S 5|7 defects remain largely immobile.

Micro/Nanoscale Acoustic Manipulation: From Particle Control to Autonomous Microswimmers
This conceptual framework illustrates acoustic technology as a multifunctional platform enabling passive particle manipulation across scales and autonomous propulsion of microswimmers. ABSTRACT Acoustic manipulation and propulsion technologies have emerged as powerful platforms for micro/nanoscale control, enabled by their non‐contact operation, label ...
