Yttrium doping in Sb‐alloyed BiSe synergistically induces Bi vacancies and flattens conduction bands, simultaneously slashing lattice thermal conductivity by 50% and boosting the power factor. The optimized n‐type Bi0.64Sb0.3Y0.06Se delivers a peak zT of 0.91 at 393 K (average zT 0.76, 300–523 K) and an 8‐pair module with 4.6% conversion efficiency ...

Weak solutions to a multi-phase field system of parabolic equations related to alloy solidification [PDF]
Existence of weak solutions to a phase field model for solidification of alloys is studied. The model consists of balance equations for the energy and the concentrations of the alloy components which are coupled to a system of Allen-Cahn equations ...

In this work, diamonds with negative charged silicon‐vacancy (SiV−) centers have been designed for use as thermometers in biomedical applications. Multiparametric analysis of the emission characteristics of the SiV− centers provides extraordinary sensitivity for temperature detection in the physiological temperature range.

Explicit solutions for critical and normal depths in trapezoidal and parabolic open channels
Normal and critical depths are important parameters in the design of open channels and analysis of gradually varied flow. In trapezoidal and parabolic channels, the governing equations are highly nonlinear in the normal and critical flow depths and thus ...

Multidimensional Cellular Micro‐Compartments to Model Invasive Lobular Carcinoma Dormancy
Invasive lobular carcinoma (ILC) is an understudied subtype of breast cancer that is susceptible to late recurrences. In this study, micro‐compartmentalization techniques spanning multiple dimensions, including 2D, pseudo‐3D, and 3D, are integrated to uncover the mechanisms underlying ILC dormancy, revealing the central role of p27Kip1.

A Model of Porous Catalyst Accounting for Incipiently Non-isothermal Effects* [PDF]
An approximate model accounting for incipiently non-isothermal effects is derived from a well-known model of porous catalyst for appropriate, realistic limiting values of the parameters.
