Multimode Phonon Lasing via Self‐Induced Optical Coherent Pumping
A silicon optomechanical nanobeam generates self‐sustained phonon lasing in multiple competing mechanical modes via self‐pulsing, an intrinsic optical modulation arising from cavity nonlinearity. This self‐organized mechanism enables robust multi‐frequency operation spanning periodic, quasi‐periodic, and chaotic regimes without external modulation. The

Deterministic Fiber‐Optic Spectral Engineering Enables Three‐Color Multiplexed Two‐Photon Microscopy
A simulation‐guided spectral‐engineering framework maps the nonlinear parameter space of a fiber laser platform to identify balanced three‐band excitation states. The resulting 960, 1080, and 1175 nm femtosecond pulses deliver nJ‐level energies for low‐cross‐talk chromatically multiplexed two‐photon microscopy.

Van der Waals ferroelectric NbOX2 thin films exhibit phonon‐resonance enhanced electro‐optic responses, 332 pm/V at 3.1 THz (NbOI2) and 192 pm/V at 3.7 THz (NbOBr2), the highest among vdW materials, and show 4% non‐resonant SHG modulation together with resonant phonon‐enhancement under a 150 kV/cm THz pump.
