One dimensional parabolic free boundary problems [PDF]
The method of lines is used to approximate explicit and implicit free boundary problems for a linear one dimensional diffusion equation with a sequence of free boundary problems for ordinary differential equations.

An Invitation to the Generalized Saturation Conjecture
We report about some results, interesting examples, problems and conjectures revolving around the parabolic Kostant partition functions, the parabolic Kostka polynomials and ``saturation'' properties of several generalizations of the Littlewood ...

Maximal regular boundary value problems in Banach-valued function spaces and applications
The nonlocal boundary value problems for differential operator equations of second order with dependent coefficients are studied. The principal parts of the differential operators generated by these problems are non-selfadjoint.

Extreme Terahertz Nonlinearity of AlGaN/GaN‐Based Grating‐Gate Plasmonic Crystals
Plasmonic crystals based on grating‐gated 2D electron gas in AlGaN/GaN heterostructures provide a platform for strong light‐matter interaction. Pump‐probe experiments revealed strong terahertz nonlinearity leading to 45% increase in transmission at a fluence below 350 nJ cm−2.

Existence and perturbation of principal eigenvalues for a periodic-parabolic problem
We give a necessary and sufficient condition for the existence of a positive principal eigenvalue for a periodic-parabolic problem with indefinite weight function.

This study evaluates the simulation capabilities of lithium‐ion battery (LIB) electrochemical simulation software packages. The benchmark simulation results reveal the impacts of parameter sensitivity to solver performance and stability. The guidelines to troubleshooting common solver failures at high current rates lowers the steep learning curve to ...

This study proposes a model for the electrical transport properties of random networks of metal oxide nanowires. Based on the characteristic lengths and energies of nanowires, it allows for discussing the transition from the junction‐dominated to the nanowire‐dominated transport regime.

Maximal regularity of parabolic transmission problems [PDF]
AbstractLinear reaction–diffusion equations with inhomogeneous boundary and transmission conditions are shown to possess the property of maximal$$L_\mathrm{p}$$Lp regularity. The new feature is the fact that the transmission interface is allowed to intersect the boundary of the domain transversally.
