Molecular Diagnosis of Oligodendroglioma in Paraffin Sections [PDF]
Distinction of oligodendrogliomas from other gliomas is clinically important, but the histologic diagnosis of oligodendroglioma has been a difficult and notoriously subjective task. Testing for loss of heterozygosity (LOH) on chromosomal arms 1p and 19q, the genetic signature of oligodendroglioma, has emerged as a useful, objective adjunct to the ...

Pharmacologic ascorbate (vitamin C) increases ROS, disrupts cellular metabolism, and induces DNA damage in CRPC cells. These effects sensitize tumors to PARP inhibition, producing synergistic growth suppression with olaparib in vitro and significantly delayed tumor progression in vivo. Pyruvate rescue confirms ROS‐dependent activity.

Utility of squash smear cytology in fiber-optic bronchoscopic biopsies
Background: Fiber-optic bronchoscopic biopsies yield very small bits of tissue, leading to high false negativity in lung cancer diagnosis, after paraffin embedding.

OXIDATIVE ENZYMES IN PARAFFIN SECTIONS [PDF]
この論文は国立情報学研究所の学術雑誌公開支援事業により電子化されました。The usefulness of paraffin sections was shown for the histochemical detection of some oxidative enzymes. The acetone fixed paraffin sections were floated on the incubating mixture containing Nitro-BT, substrates and ...

Expression of the neural cell adhesion NCAM in endocrine cells of the ovary [PDF]
In the adult mammalian ovary morphogenesis and differentiation processes are under hormonal control and, thus, occur in a highly regulated way during the sexual cycle.

Single circulating tumor cells (sCTCs) from high‐grade serous ovarian cancer patients were enriched, imaged, and genomically profiled using WGA and NGS at different time points during treatment. sCTCs revealed enrichment of alterations in Chromosomes 2, 7, and 12 as well as persistent or emerging oncogenic CNAs, supporting sCTC identity.

OBJECTIVE: Follicular lymphoma (FL) is one of the most common lymphomas, and is characterized by t(14;18) (q32;q21) in more than 80% of patients. The aim of this study was to determine the rate of t(14;18) positivity based on the detection of mbr or mcr ...

The time-dependent localization of Ki 67 antigen-positive cells in human skin wounds [PDF]
A total of 77 human skin wounds with a post-infliction interval between 3 h and 7 months were investigated and the proliferation marker antigen Ki 67 was visualized in paraffin sections using a specific monoclonal antibody (MIB).

Meta‐transcriptome analysis identified FGF19 as a peptide enteroendocrine hormone associated with colorectal cancer prognosis. In vivo xenograft models showed release of FGF19 into the blood at levels that correlated with tumor volumes. Tumoral‐FGF19 altered murine liver metabolism through FGFR4, thereby reducing bile acid synthesis and increasing ...
