Parallel peeling algorithms [PDF]
The analysis of several algorithms and data structures can be framed as a peeling process on a random hypergraph: vertices with degree less than k are removed until there are no vertices of degree less than k left.

A Parallel Butterfly Algorithm [PDF]
The butterfly algorithm is a fast algorithm which approximately evaluates a discrete analogue of the integral transform \int K(x,y) g(y) dy at large numbers of target points when the kernel, K(x,y), is approximately low-rank when restricted to subdomains satisfying a certain simple geometric condition.

Parallelization of Modular Algorithms
In this paper we investigate the parallelization of two modular algorithms. In fact, we consider the modular computation of Gröbner bases (resp. standard bases) and the modular computation of the associated primes of a zero-dimensional ideal and describe their parallel implementation in SINGULAR.

Parallel Algorithm Configuration [PDF]
State-of-the-art algorithms for solving hard computational problems often expose many parameters whose settings critically affect empirical performance. Manually exploring the resulting combinatorial space of parameter settings is often tedious and unsatisfactory.

Parallelization of the IDEA Algorithm [PDF]
In this paper, we present results of parallelizing the International Data Encryption Algorithm (IDEA). The data dependence analysis of loops was applied in order to parallelize this algorithm. The OpenMP standard is chosen for presenting the parallelism of the algorithm. The efficiency measurement for a parallel program is presented.

Fluorescent probes allow dynamic visualization of phosphoinositides in living cells (left), whereas mass spectrometry provides high‐sensitivity, isomer‐resolved quantitation (right). Their synergistic use captures complementary aspects of lipid signaling. This review illustrates how these approaches reveal the spatiotemporal regulation and quantitative
