Adjunctive Therapeutic Plasma Exchange in Refractory Adult‐Onset Still's Disease Complicated by Secondary Macrophage Activation Syndrome: A Single‐Center Experience

open access: yesTherapeutic Apheresis and Dialysis, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Introduction Adult‐onset Still's disease (AOSD) complicated by macrophage activation syndrome (MAS) carries substantial mortality. The role of therapeutic plasma exchange (TPE) remains uncertain. Methods We retrospectively analyzed patients with AOSD‐MAS treated with TPE at a single‐center.

Comparative analysis of audio-MAE and MAE-AST models for real-time audio classification

open access: yesAutomatika
Real-time audio classification is a complex process that requires systems to be highly accurate and reduce latency in signal processing. The main challenges include processing large amounts of data, particularly for high-quality audio files, which ...

The temolate for parallel branch algorithm

open access: yesLietuvos Matematikos Rinkinys, 2004
The aim of this work is to propose parallel branch and bound algorithm template. For this purpose sequential template is introduced. Implementing additional features of this template some parallel branch and bound algorithms are comstructed and analyzed

Spatiotemporal and quantitative analyses of phosphoinositides – fluorescent probe—and mass spectrometry‐based approaches

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Fluorescent probes allow dynamic visualization of phosphoinositides in living cells (left), whereas mass spectrometry provides high‐sensitivity, isomer‐resolved quantitation (right). Their synergistic use captures complementary aspects of lipid signaling. This review illustrates how these approaches reveal the spatiotemporal regulation and quantitative

On the Optimization and Parallelizing Little Algorithm for Solving the Traveling Salesman Problem

open access: yesМоделирование и анализ информационных систем, 2016
The paper describes some ways to accelerate solving the NP-complete Traveling Salesman Problem. The classic Little algorithm belonging to the category of ”branch and bound methods” can solve it both for directed and undirected graphs.

Structural insights into an engineered feruloyl esterase with improved MHET degrading properties

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
A feruloyl esterase was engineered to mimic key features of MHETase, enhancing the degradation of PET oligomers. Structural and computational analysis reveal how a point mutation stabilizes the active site and reshapes the binding cleft, expading substrate scope.

Aggressive prostate cancer is associated with pericyte dysfunction

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Tumor‐produced TGF‐β drives pericyte dysfunction in prostate cancer. This dysfunction is characterized by downregulation of some canonical pericyte markers (i.e., DES, CSPG4, and ACTA2) while maintaining the expression of others (i.e., PDGFRB, NOTCH3, and RGS5).

A Parallel Algorithm Based on Regularized Lattice Boltzmann Method for Multi-Layer Grids

open access: yesApplied Sciences
The regularized lattice Boltzmann method (RLBM) is an improvement of the lattice Boltzmann method (LBM). The advantage of RLBM is improved accuracy without increasing computational overheads.
