A Computer Program for the Analysis of Parallel‐Line Bioassays of Clotting Factors

British Journal of Haematology, 1975
Summary. An interactive computer program for the analysis of clotting factor assays is described. The program provides potency estimates against a standard, and will compare the observed and expected responses of a treated patient. Tests for validity of curve fitting are provided, with a number of optional transforms.

A note on communication analysis of parallel sparse Cholesky factorization on a hypercube

Parallel Computing, 1990
The communication analysis for the nested-dissection method of column- oriented Cholesky factorization established by \textit{A. George}, \textit{J. W. H. Liu}, and \textit{E. Ng} [ibid. 10, No.3, 287-298 (1989; Zbl 0687.65024)] is simplified using the subgrid-to-subcube column assignment for a \(k\times k\) grid on a hypercube of p processors.

Spectrofluorimetric determination of chlorophylls and pheopigments using parallel factor analysis

Talanta, 2001
In this study, parallel factor analysis (PARAFAC) was applied to fluorescence excitation emission matrices (EEM) of chlorophylls and pheopigments dissolved in acetone:water (9:1). The excitation wavelength range was from 350 to 500 nm and the emission was recorded from 600 to 730 nm.

Analysis of proportional-resonant damping factors in the parallel operation of UPSs

ISA Transactions
Accurate load-sharing and circulating current mitigation is a particular problem in parallel-connected inverters without intercommunication. This paper analyzes how using multiple-resonant controllers in the voltage regulation loop impacts the parallel operation of uninterruptible power supplies (UPSs) with droop control. It is shown how adding damping

Performance Prediction and Analysis of Parallel Out-of-Core Matrix Factorization

2000
In this paper, we present an analytical performance model of the parallel left-right looking out-of-core LU factorization algorithm. We show the accuracy of the performance prediction for a prototype implementation in the ScaLAPACK library. We will show that with a correct distribution of the matrix and with an overlapof IO by computation, we obtain ...

Parallel Factor Analysis in the Study of Event-Related Potentials

Human Physiology, 2019
The study evaluated whether a parallel factor analysis model is adequate and efficient in describing the event-related potentials (ERPs). ERPs evoked in a visual Go/NoGo task were recorded in 351 healthy subjects aged 18–55 years. The parallel factor analysis made it possible to separate the ERP components that differed in topography and waveform; the ...

Evaluation of variation matrix arrays by parallel factor analysis

Journal of Chemometrics, 2008
AbstractPARAFAC is one of the most widely used algorithms for trilinear decomposition. The uniqueness properties of the PARAFAC model are very attractive regardless of whether one is interested curve resolution or not. The fact that PARAFAC provides one unique solution simplifies interpretation of the model.
