Alcohol in Greenland 1950-2018: consumption, drinking patterns, and consequences
Alcohol is the single most important public health challenge in Greenland. We provide an overview of alcohol consumption, drinking patterns, and consequences of excessive use of alcohol in Greenland since 1950 through a synthesis of published results and

PARALLEL IMPORTS IN TRADEMARKS
According to Article 3 of Act Number 15 of 2001 on Trademark, the exclusive nature of trademark rights legalizes monopoly. Based on this exclusivity, the right holders of trademarks can decide when and where they can first introduce a trademarked product to the market. This right is known as a distribution right. Once marketed however, the right holder

The quality of parallel imports [PDF]
This paper empirically analyzes the change in the quality of parallel import goods (goods that are traded without the permission of the intellectual property right holder) across countries over time.

CT‐based finite element simulations combined with in situ X‐ray computed tomography are used to analyze insert pull‐out in nickel‐coated polymer foams. Despite variations in material parameters, deformation consistently concentrates within a narrow annular region around the insert.

Vertical Restraints and Parallel Imports with Differentiated Products [PDF]
A monopoly selling in two countries can use exclusive or competitive retailers to distribute its product. A low wholesale price in one country might induce a retailer to resell the good for profit in the other country, generating thereby parallel imports

Morphology, Transport, and Dynamics of Protein Adsorption in Open‐Cell Metal Foam
Stainless steel (SS) open‐cell foams are shown to adsorb more protein per unit area than previously reported 316L SS and chromium oxide surfaces under static and flow conditions. An integrated approach combining 3D pore imaging, flow simulation, and protein adsorption experiments characterizes the foam’s performance.

Import pathways of precursor proteins into mitochondria [PDF]
The precursor of porin, a mitochondrial outer membrane protein, competes for the import of precursors destined for the three other mitochondrial compartments, including the Fe/S protein of the bc1- complex (intermembrane space), the ADP/ATP carrier ...
