Mycophenolate Mofetil Treatment Reduces the Risk of Treatment Escalation Due to Vascular Complications in Limited Cutaneous Systemic Sclerosis: Emulation of a Target Trial From the Italian Rheumatology Society SPRING Registry

open access: yesArthritis Care &Research, EarlyView.
Objective Mycophenolate mofetil (MMF) use in limited cutaneous systemic sclerosis (lcSSc) is relatively uncommon because of the lower fibrotic burden and the predominance of vascular complications. In vitro observations and clinical data from transplanted patients suggest a protective effect of MMF on endothelial function.

Use of a Molecular Signature Response Classifier to Inform Treatment Selection Improves Clinical Disease Activity Among Patients with Rheumatoid Arthritis Initiating a Biologic or Targeted Synthetic Disease‐Modifying Antirheumatic Drug

open access: yesArthritis Care &Research, EarlyView.
Objective We assessed the effectiveness of PrismRA to improve clinical outcomes among patients with rheumatoid arthritis (RA) initiating treatment with a biologic or targeted synthetic disease‐modifying antirheumatic drug (b/tsDMARD). Methods PrismRA incorporated 19 gene expression features and four clinical features to assess a patient's likelihood of

Does Long‐Term Lower Extremity Strength Training in Adults With Knee Osteoarthritis and Varus Alignment Reduce Knee Joint Loading During Gait?

open access: yesArthritis Care &Research, EarlyView.
Objective We examined whether 18 months of strength training in individuals with knee varus alignment and medial tibiofemoral osteoarthritis (OA) reduced knee joint loads during walking compared to an attention control group. Methods This study was a secondary analysis of a randomized clinical trial that compared the effects of strength training to a ...

Cracking the Code: Which Ocular Symptoms Predict Dry Eye Signs? Insights From a Large International Sicca Registry

open access: yesArthritis Care &Research, EarlyView.
Objective The study aimed to identify symptom‐based predictors of dry eye disease (DED) signs in the Sjögren's International Collaborative Clinical Alliance (SICCA) cohort. Methods We performed a retrospective analysis examining 16 ocular symptoms (most graded 0–4) and artificial tear (AT) use (graded 0–3) as predictors of DED signs (abnormal ocular ...

Analysis of Programs for Parallel Processing

IEEE Transactions on Electronic Computers, 1966
A set of conditions are described which determine whether or not two successive portions of a given program can be performed in parallel and still produce the same results. The conditions are general and can be applied to sections of the program of arbitrary size.

Parallel placement of parallel processes

Proceedings of the third conference on Hypercube concurrent computers and applications Architecture, software, computer systems, and general issues -, 1988
The problem of placing the individual processes of a logically partitioned problem on the nodes of a multiprocessor in such a manner as to minimize the communication and memory utilization costs is known as the process placement problem. This problem is, in general, NP-complete.

A debugger for parallel processes

Software: Practice and Experience, 1988
AbstractA system for analysing and debugging parallel Fortran codes is in use on the Sun workstation. The system is composed of a parallel processing simulatormtsim, a window‐ and mouse‐based debugging toolmtdbx, and a set of real‐time display routines.

Parallel Processing in Ada

Computer, 1986
Ada was designed from the beginning with parallel processing applications in mind. Its tasking mechanism is a coherent response to the language issues involved in parallel processing, and carefully balances the often conflicting goals of high-level language features on the one hand and efficient implementation on the other.
