A Distributed Strategy for Parallel Power System Restoration

2023 IEEE Belgrade PowerTech, 2023
This paper describes a novel distributed strategy for parallel power system restoration (PPSR). In particular, given an initial partition, as for instance the optimal partition in nominal (non-faulty) conditions, we propose a consensus-based strategy that allows nodes to migrate from one subsystem to another one, in order to minimize a cost function of

A color image restoration with adjacent parallel lines inhibition

12th International Conference on Image Analysis and Processing, 2003.Proceedings., 2004
We focus our attention on the problem of restoring a color image corrupted by blur and noise. This problem is ill-posed in the Hadamard sense. By regularization techniques, it is possible to define the solution of the problem as the minimum of an energy function.

Parallel solution to the image restoration problem

17th Convention of Electrical and Electronics Engineers in Israel, 2002
This work shows that when a problem is defined using local characteristics, a parallel solution is easily attained. Image-processing is known to be a computation-intensive task, where processing time might be crucial. One such problem is the restoration of a deformed image.

Parallel Architectures For Iterative Image Restoration

1991
The recovery or restoration of an image that has been distorted is one of the most important problems in image processing applications. A number of algorithms or filters providing a solution to the image restoration problem, have appeared in the literature.

Parallel implementation for iterative image restoration algorithms on a parallel DSP machine

Journal of VLSI signal processing systems for signal, image and video technology, 1993
Many low-level image processing algorithms which are posed as variational problems can be numerically solved using local and iterative relaxation algorithms. Because of the structure of these algorithms, processing time will decrease nearly linearly with the addition of processing nodes working in parallel on the problem.

Parallel architectures for an iterative image restoration algorithm

IEEE International Symposium on Circuits and Systems, 2002
Mesh of pyramids and pyramid of meshes implementations of an iterative image-restoration algorithm are proposed. These implementations are based on a single-step regularized iterative restoration algorithm. Both architectures are described as a composition of a mesh and a pyramid.

Miniature parallel pins for retention of cast restorations

The Journal of Prosthetic Dentistry, 1961
Abstract The use of miniature parallel pinholes in cavity preparations for cast gold restorations permits the dentist to use a less stereotyped cavity design. A method of achieving parallelism in alignment of pinholes with subsequent alteration in cavity design has been described.

Massively Parallel Spatially-Variant Maximum Likelihood Image Restoration

Signal Recovery and Synthesis, 1995
We consider a massively parallel implementation of Richardson-Lucy or maximum likelihood restoration with a spatially-variant point spread function (PSF). Richardson-Lucy iterates involve the computation of sums of the form: where O(x' q ) is the incident optical field estimate at discrete source location x' q , I(x q ) is
