ABSTRACT The growing demands of artificial intelligence require new energy‐efficient and nonvolatile computing paradigms. To meet this challenge, we demonstrate a foundational device platform for optical fiber computing that targets the signal decay and power consumption bottlenecks of conventional systems.

Decades of CdTe and CdZnTe gamma‐ray spectrometer development define core design principles for room‐temperature semiconductor detectors. This Review highlights how metal halide perovskites rapidly assimilate these principles, particularly through defect and compositional engineering strategies that establish favorable spectroscopic conditions for ...

SYNTACTIC STRUCTURES IN IRISH-LANGUAGE PROVERBS
In recent years, linguistic studies into the concept of ‘proverbiality’ have provided paremiologists with a more comprehensive under-standing of the form and function of proverbial markers in a wide range of languages.

Intrinsically Design‐Rule‐Compliant Nanophotonic Inverse Design via Learned Generative Manifolds
A generative reparameterization framework for nanophotonic inverse design is introduced, restricting optimization to a learned manifold of design‐rule‐compliant geometries. Unlike conventional penalty‐based approaches, fabrication constraints are encoded intrinsically within the design representation.

Parallel Vector Processing in Optical Computing With Jacobi Time‐Wave Packets
Functionality of a single neuron and state of the art photonic acceleration with a Mach‐Zehnder‐interferometer (MZI) mesh (i), a crossbar array (ii) and a micro ring resonator (MRR) array (iii). In the proposed Jacobi time‐wave packet approach (iv) a single modulator (here a ring modulator) is performing the whole scalar vector product in a single ...

When a Week Is Not A Week: How Temporal Boundaries Shift Regulatory Focus and Consumer Preference
ABSTRACT Does consumer perception of a sales event change if it falls across a calendar boundary (e.g., next month) versus within the current month, holding objective time constant? We investigate this question in the context of Cyber Monday, the global shopping event occurring the Monday after the U.S. Thanksgiving holiday.

On Geometric Phase Model in the Theory of Curves With Myller Configuration
ABSTRACT In this paper, we introduce a linearly polarized light wave in an optical fiber and rotation of the polarization plane through the Frenet‐type frame with Myller configuration. Since the geometric evaluation and interpretations of a polarized light wave are associated with geometric phase, a new type of geometric phase model has been ...
