For a singularly perturbed one-dimensional parabolic equation with a perturbation parameter ε multiplying the highest-order derivative in the equation, ε ∈ (0,1], an initial-boundary value Neumann problem is considered on a segment. In this problem, when

In this paper, a class of linear parabolic singularly perturbed second order differential equations of reaction-diffusion type with initial and Robin boundary conditions is considered. The solution u of this equation is smooth, whereas the first derivative in the space variable exhibits parabolic boundary layers.

Convergence of an inverse problem for discrete wave equations [PDF]
International audienceIt is by now well-known that one can recover a potential in the wave equation from the knowledge of the initial waves, the boundary data and the flux on a part of the boundary satisfying the Gamma-conditions of J.-L. Lions.

A time-splitting spectral scheme for the Maxwell-Dirac system
We present a time-splitting spectral scheme for the Maxwell-Dirac system and similar time-splitting methods for the corresponding asymptotic problems in the semi-classical and the non-relativistic regimes.

Biofabrication aims at providing innovative technologies and tools for the fabrication of tissue‐like constructs for tissue engineering and regenerative medicine applications. By integrating multiple biofabrication technologies, such as 3D (bio) printing with fiber fabrication methods, it would be more realistic to reconstruct native tissue's ...

Kantorovich-Stancu type (α,λ,s) - Bernstein operators and their approximation properties
In this study, we establish a new class of Kantorovich-Stancu type [Formula: see text]Bernstein operators via an adaptation of Bézier bases which are formulated with the inclusion of the shape parameters [Formula: see text], [Formula: see text], and a ...

Efficient numerical schemes on modified graded mesh for singularly perturbed parabolic convection-diffusion problems [PDF]
In this study, numerical approaches to the singularly perturbed problems of convection diffusion type are presented. The backward Euler method is applied to a uniform mesh in the temporal domain, while in the spatial domain, we utilize both the hybrid ...

In this paper, a class of linear parabolic systems of singularly perturbed second order differential equations of reaction-diffusion type with initial and Robin boundary conditions is considered. The components of the solution $\vec u$ of this system exhibit parabolic boundary layers with sublayers.
