Continuous Stereo Self-Calibration by Camera Parameter Tracking

IEEE Transactions on Image Processing, 2009
This paper presents a consistent framework for continuous stereo self-calibration. Based on a practical analysis of the sensitivity of stereo reconstruction to camera calibration uncertainties, we identify important parameters for self-calibration.

Multiblock Parameter Calibration in Computer Models

INFORMS Journal on Data Science, 2023
Parameter calibration aims to estimate unobservable parameters used in a computer model by using physical process responses and computer model outputs. In the literature, existing studies calibrate all parameters simultaneously using an entire data set. However, in certain applications, some parameters are associated with only a subset of data.

Determine Calibration Parameters with Satisfied Constraints for Coplanar Camera Calibration

TENCON 2005 - 2005 IEEE Region 10 Conference, 2005
Coplanar camera calibration is the process of determining a set of calibration parameters that describe the mapping between 2D control points and 2D image coordinates. However, the optimal solution for coplanar calibration can be obtained by solving a set of constrained optimization problem.

Automatic calibration of lithography simulation parameters

SPIE Proceedings, 2001
A method is presented for automatically adjusting the input parameters of a lithography simulator to more accurately match a given set of experimental conditions. Using contrast curves, swing curves or focus-exposure matrices, simulation parameters are automatically modified in a search to minimize the difference between the simulated results and the ...

Calibration device for multi-parameter simulator

2013 IEEE 11th International Conference on Electronic Measurement & Instruments, 2013
Multi-parameter simulator is famous because of its more parameters in use and cumbersome steps in calibration. This paper introduces a device which makes the calibration more convenient without oscilloscope, programmable amplifier, programmable filter and stabilized voltage supply. With this device, the key parameters of simulator can be traced back to

Calibration Strategy for Urban Catchment Parameters

Journal of Hydraulic Engineering, 1992
A simple and methodical strategy is presented for estimating the parameters of a catchment. The method makes use of rainfall‐runoff records to construct response surfaces of the peak flow in terms of eight calibration parameters. The eight calibration parameters are assumed to vary between certain physically meaningful limits and to be random and ...

Joint estimation of array calibration parameters

Proceedings. 2005 International Conference on Communications, Circuits and Systems, 2005., 2005
Performance of array processing is severely impaired in the presence of mutual coupling and channel mismatch among sensors. In this paper, a novel method is proposed to solve the problem which is suitable for arbitrary arrays. In the proposed method, only one auxiliary signal source is used to transmit from different directions in different time, and ...

Calibration of GA Parameters

1999
This chapter focuses on a critical dilemma faced in many GA applications: the optimum selection of the different GA parameters to ensure the GA’s rapid convergence—both on-line and off-line (Section 2.9). We address this task early in this text because the satisfactory resolution of it can either make or break the efficacy of the GA, for there is no ...

Calibrating Input Parameters via Eligibility Sets

2020 Winter Simulation Conference (WSC), 2020
Reliable simulation analysis requires accurately calibrating input model parameters. While there has been a sizable literature on parameter calibration that utilizes directly observed data, much less attention has been paid to the situation where only output-level data are available to justify input parameter choices.

Calibrating Parameters of Cost Functionals

2000
We propose a new framework for calibrating parameters of energy functionals, as used in image analysis. The method learns parameters from a family of correct examples, and given a probabilistic construct for generating wrong examples from correct ones.
