Parameter estimation from ICC curves
Incidence vs. Cumulative Cases (ICC) curves are introduced and shown to provide a simple framework for parameter identification in the case of the most elementary epidemiological model, consisting of susceptible, infected, and removed compartments.

Identification of Parameters in Distributed Parameter Systems by Regularization [PDF]
The authors investigate the parameter identification problem for distributed parameter systems. The problem of parameter identification in distributed parameter systems from noisy data is both nonlinear and ill- posed. They develop the concept of regularization, which is widely used in solving linear Fredholm integral equations, for the identification ...

Parameters Identification as Identification of External Loads [PDF]
AbstractSubstitution of traditional problem of parameters identification to a problem of identification of some additional external load to researched system is offered in conditions, when the initial information on researched parameter and about statistical properties of measurements is absent or is insignificant.

Applying parameter identification and optimal input design in well-testing [PDF]
This article discusses the use of optimal input design and parameter identification methods in reservoir evaluation. A new optimal input design criterion is presented which in addition to the uncertainty in the parameter estimates accounts for the ...

Parameter identification in a probabilistic setting [PDF]
Parameter identification problems are formulated in a probabilistic language, where the randomness reflects the uncertainty about the knowledge of the true values. This setting allows conceptually easily to incorporate new information, e.g. through a measurement, by connecting it to Bayes's theorem.
