On parameter identification of robot manipulators

Proceedings of International Conference on Robotics and Automation, 2002
This paper is focused on estimating the dynamic parameters of robot manipulators. A new hybrid identification scheme based on the supplied energy regression model is proposed. Experimental results on a two degrees of freedom direct-drive robot are presented.

Induction motor drive parameters identification

IEEE Transactions on Power Electronics, 1998
The paper deals with real-time identification of the rotor parameters of the induction motor drive. The model reference adaptative control technique has been used for synthesising two identifiers. An appropriate choice of the reference model allows a Lyapunov function to be built by means of which the updating law of the rotor time constant can be ...

Parameter identification of distributed parameter systems

Mathematical Biosciences, 1985
The problem of parameter identification for distributed parameter systems is placed in an abstract system-theoretic context, and necessary and sufficient conditions developed for parameter identifiability. Applications are given for parabolic partial differential equations.

Parameter identification in epidemic models

Mathematical Biosciences, 2011
Starting from a recent paper of Pollicott, Wang and Weiss we try to obtain improved representation formulas for the estimation of the time-dependent transmission rate of an epidemic in terms of either incidence or prevalence data. Although the formulas are (trivially) mathematically equivalent to previous formulas, the new representations need no ...

Identification of Parameters in a Freeway Traffic Model

IEEE Transactions on Systems, Man, and Cybernetics, 1976
The methodology of discrete time, extended Kalman filtering is applied to the problem of identifying parameters of a macroscopic freeway traffic model. Macroscopic models provide a representation of traffic flow in terms of its gross properties, i.e., volume, density, and speed.

Parameter Identification Problem for a Class of Distributed Parameter Systems

IFAC Proceedings Volumes, 1983
Summary: The inverse parameter problem of the permeable law for the fracture reservoir with double porosity is of great importance in the exploitation of oil or gas. The total compressibility and permeability are the unknown geological parameters in the fluid motion equations. In this paper we discuss the inverse parameter problem from the point of the

PARAMETER IDENTIFICATION WITH QUANTIFIERS

IFAC Proceedings Volumes, 2006
Abstract Robust parameter identification consists of finding approximations for the set of parameters of a given model that are consistent with the input/output observations. When interval uncertainties are considered, consistency can be defined in different ways by applying universal or existential quantifiers to the intervals representing input ...

Parameter Identification Problems

1998
In the preceding chapters we started from a mathematical description of a mechanical system and used it to predict its behavior.

Aquifer Parameter Identification

Journal of the Hydraulics Division, 1975
This paper presents an analysis of the inverse problem of parameter (or parameters) identification in unsteady ground-water flow. The response of the system is governed by a typical nonlinear second-order partial differential equation for which there exists no closed-form solution. Identification is an inverse process whereby the parameters embedded in
