This appendix chapter is an overview, not an exhaustive treatise of spaces which parametrize sound objects. These spaces where sounds are positioned always define an aspect, never the totality of music thinking, and every attempt to define a preferred space will narrow the music thinking, not the music.

The Parameter Spaces of the Cubic Polyomials
Fractals, 1998We plot the two-dimensional projections of the parameter spaces of the cubic mappings. The projection of the parameter points that have non-totally disconnected Julia sets can be seen as a combination of Mandelbrot-like sets. The regularities of these projections with respect to parameters are explained using elementary analysis.
