Active Learning‐Assisted Exploration of [PO40Mo12]3− for Alzheimer's Therapy Insights

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Bayesian Optimization coupled with active learning to uncover the interaction mechanism of [PO40Mo12]3− on amyloid‐β peptide. Abstract Alzheimer's disease (AD), involving amyloid‐β (Aβ) aggregation, has potential therapeutic modulators in polyoxometalates (POMs) like [PMo12O40]3−.

Dynamic Synthesis of Multi‐Modal Representations for CITE‐seq Data Integration and Analysis

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
The accurate integration of CITE‐seq modalities faces challenges due to complex RNA‐protein nonlinear interactions and computational inefficiencies. A lightweight framework that adaptively fuses RNA and ADT modalities, and refines them through fine‐grained learning is developed to address this issue.

Scalable parameterized quantum circuits classifier

open access: yesScientific Reports
As a generalized quantum machine learning model, parameterized quantum circuits (PQC) have been found to perform poorly in terms of classification accuracy and model scalability for multi-category classification tasks. To address this issue, we propose a

Exploring Clique Transversal Problems for d-degenerate Graphs with Fixed d: From Polynomial-Time Solvability to Parameterized Complexity

open access: yesAxioms
This paper explores the computational challenges of clique transversal problems in d-degenerate graphs, which are commonly encountered across theoretical computer science and various network applications. We examine d-degenerate graphs to highlight their

Transfer Learning and Permutation‐Invariance Improving Predicting Genome‐Wide, Cell‐Specific and Directional Interventions Effects of Complex Systems

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
SETComp, a transfer learning model based on permutation‐invariance, is pre‐trained on single‐compound intervention data and fine‐tuned on complex system (e.g., natural products) data. The model achieves up to 93.86% accuracy on complex system‐cell‐gene association predictions, outperforming the baseline by up to 27.59%.

A New Cryptographic Frontier: Key-Independent Security and Post-Quantum Hardness Assumptions

open access: yesIEEE Open Journal of the Computer Society
With the rapid advancement of quantum computing, many classical encryption schemes are becoming increasingly vulnerable to quantum attacks, highlighting the urgent need for post-quantum cryptographic solutions that can withstand this emerging threat.

Complexity of Liveness in Parameterized Systems

open access: yes, 2019
We investigate the fine-grained complexity of liveness verification for leader contributor systems. These consist of a designated leader thread and an arbitrary number of identical contributor threads communicating via a shared memory. The liveness verification problem asks whether there is an infinite computation of the system in which the leader ...

Aging as a Loss of Goal‐Directedness: An Evolutionary Simulation and Analysis Unifying Regeneration with Anatomical Rejuvenation

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
The paper proposes that the root cause of aging is the loss of anatomical goal‐directedness after development. Using evolutionary neural cellular automata simulations, the authors show that after the organism has reached its developmental homeostatic setpoint (the adult morphology), the absence of target state to pursue leads to a drifting anatomical ...
