Parametric Imaging

Radiologic Clinics of North America, 1985
The analysis of circulatory dynamics by functional data extraction from radiologic image sequences constitutes the latest development of digital imaging techniques in angiography. In this article, the methodologic approach of angiographic parameter extraction and the interpretation of functional information are outlined.

Parametric lens

Optics Letters, 1993
A self-focusing is observed that arises from a purely second-order nonlinear susceptibility in a phase-matched second-harmonic-generation experiment. Control of the magnitude and sign of the intensity-dependent phase shift is accomplished through a dispersion external to the nonlinear medium.

On Nonholonomic Parametrization

Journal of Applied Mechanics, 1970
This paper is concerned with the problem of obtaining the differential equation of the trajectory of dynamical system. Time is eliminated by means of some first integral linear with respect to the velocities. As an example, the stability of rotation of a heavy asymmetric rigid body with a fixed point under the action of the Newtonian central force ...

Parametric resonance

Computing in Science & Engineering, 1999
Computer simulation experiments are especially good tools for helping students understand basic principles of physics. In this a, I have developed a package of simulation programs called Physics of Oscillations. One of its programs is suited for examining the phenomenon of paramagnetic resonance in a linear system.

Parametrized Exceptions

2005
Following the paradigm of encapsulation of side effects via monads, the Java execution mechanism has been described by the so-called Java monad, encorporating essentially stateful computation and exceptions, which are heavily used in Java control flow.

Parametrized methods

ACM SIGPLAN Notices, 1993
This paper presents a new construction that supports creating generic methods, similar to parametrized classes. Generic methods have, in addition to their normal parameters, a set of parameters similar to those of parametrized classes. These parameters are types, constants or procedures. This new construction is important since methods may be redefined

Parametricity as subtyping

Proceedings of the 19th ACM SIGPLAN-SIGACT symposium on Principles of programming languages - POPL '92, 1992
A polymorphic function is parametric if it has uniform behavior for all type parameters. This property is useful when writing, reasoning about, and compiling functional programs. We show how to syntactically define and reason about parametricity in a language with intersection types and bounded polymorphism.
