Comparison of Parametric and Bootstrap Method in Bioequivalence Test [PDF]
The estimation of 90% parametric confidence intervals (CIs) of mean AUC and Cmax ratios in bioequivalence (BE) tests are based upon the assumption that formulation effects in log-transformed data are normally distributed. To compare the parametric CIs with those obtained from nonparametric methods we performed repeated estimation of bootstrap-resampled

In this paper, a one-way error component regression model with measurement errors is considered. The unknown parameter vector is estimated by using the bias-corrected method, and its corresponding asymptotic properties are also developed.

Estimator Statistics from Simulation-Free Dirichlet Block-Bootstrap Resampling
Since the initiation of two variants of the bootstrap method by Efron and Rubin in the late 1970s, a variety of advancements has emerged in the literature. The subsampling of blocks enabled the estimation of the actual variance of the sample mean.

On Testing the Adequacy of the Inverse Gaussian Distribution
We propose a new class of goodness-of-fit tests for the inverse Gaussian distribution based on a characterization of the cumulative distribution function (CDF). The new tests are of weighted L2-type depending on a tuning parameter.

Evolutionary analysis across 32 placental mammals identified positive selection at residues H148 and W149 in the immune receptor FcγR1. Ancestral reconstruction combined with molecular dynamics simulations reveals how these mutations may influence receptor structure and dynamics, providing insight into the evolution of antibody recognition and immune ...

On Parametric Bootstrap Methods for Small Area Prediction
SummaryThe particularly wide range of applications of small area prediction, e.g. in policy making decisions, has meant that this topic has received substantial attention in recent years. The problems of estimating mean-squared predictive error, of correcting that estimator for bias and of constructing prediction intervals have been addressed by ...

Simultaneous Inference of Gene Isoform Expression for RNA Sequencing Data
In this article, we describe simultaneous inferential methods in detecting differentially expressed gene isoforms based on the Poisson generalized linear models. We derive the joint asymptotic distribution of pivotal quantities.

Molecular characterization of covRS mutations in M1UK Streptococcus pyogenes
Group A Streptococcus (GAS) acquires covRS mutations driving a hypervirulent bacterial state, frequently associated with invasive disease‐like necrotizing fasciitis. We demonstrate that the newly emerged M1UK GAS lineage can also acquire these mutations.
