Austrocedrus from the Late Cretaceous of Antarctica and its implications for the early evolution of southern cypresses (Callitroideae, Cupressaceae)

open access: yesAmerican Journal of Botany, EarlyView.
Abstract Premise The modern distribution of the southern cypresses, Callitroideae (Cupressaceae), reflects a classic Gondwanan distribution. The initial diversification of Callitroideae is estimated to have occurred during the Cretaceous, yet fossils from this period are rare, hampering our understanding of its early evolutionary history.

Longitudinal Echocardiographic Surveillance of Aortic Dilation in a Phenotype‐Enriched Turner Syndrome Cohort

open access: yesAmerican Journal of Medical Genetics Part A, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Turner syndrome (TS) is associated with thoracic aortopathy and increased risk for aortic dissection, yet the natural history of aortic dilation is not well understood. We performed a retrospective longitudinal study of individuals with TS who participated in the TS Society of the United States Healthy Heart Project between 2003 and 2023 ...

The diagnostic value of the circadian rhythm gene KLF10 in anxiety‐depressive disorders and its neuroimmune regulatory mechanisms

open access: yesAnimal Models and Experimental Medicine, EarlyView.
This graphical abstract illustrates the protective role and molecular mechanism of the circadian rhythm‐related gene KLF10, identified as a diagnostic biomarker and therapeutic target in anxiety‐depressive disorder. Model establishment and phenotypes: An anxiety‐depression model was successfully established by chronic restraint stress combined with ...

Zebrafish xenograft models as a fast platform for metastasis diagnosis and cisplatin response of head and neck squamous cell carcinoma

open access: yesAnimal Models and Experimental Medicine, EarlyView.
A zebrafish xenograft model accurately distinguishes metastatic from non‐metastatic HNSCC and recapitulates cisplatin sensitivity/resistance patterns. Using patient‐derived tumors, it predicts individual therapeutic responses, offering a rapid, clinically applicable platform for guiding personalized treatment. Abstract Background Head and neck squamous

Perivascular Spaces as Determinants of Amyloid, Tau, and Vascular Biomarker Progression

open access: yesAnnals of Neurology, EarlyView.
Objective Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI)‐visible enlarged perivascular spaces (PVS) are markers of cerebral small vessel disease (SVD) and aging, processes implicated in both neurodegenerative and cerebrovascular pathologies. However, longitudinal positron emission tomography (PET) studies examining PVS as a mechanism underlying Alzheimer's disease ...
