Multi-parametric deformed Heisenberg algebras: a route to complexity [PDF]
We introduce a generalization of the Heisenberg algebra which is written in terms of a functional of one generator of the algebra, $f(J_0)$, that can be any analytical function. When $f$ is linear with slope $θ$, we show that the algebra in this case corresponds to $q$-oscillators for $q^2 = \tan θ$.

Early‐life exposure to a high‐fat diet altered intact Achilles tendons in rat offspring, making them thinner, stiffer, and molecularly distinct even without injury. These findings suggest that developmental high‐fat diet exposure may impair tendon quality and increase susceptibility to mechanical overload or tendon injury later in life.

A hierarchical non-parametric method for capturing non-rigid deformations [PDF]
We present a novel approach for measuring deformations between image patches. Our algorithm is a variant of dynamic programming that is not inherently one-dimensional, and its scores are on a relative scale. The method is based on the combination of similarities between many overlapping sub-patches.
