Engineered red blood cell‐derived extracellular vesicles (eRBCEVs) are synthesized via controlled microfluidic assembly from native RBC lipids, enabling tunable encapsulation of proteins, nucleic acids, nanoparticles, and viral vectors. The platform demonstrates reproducible nanoscale architecture, preserved membrane composition, and functional cargo ...

Consistent Testing for Stochastic Dominance: A Subsampling Approach [PDF]
We propose a procedure for estimating the critical values of the Klecan, McFadden, and McFadden (1990) test for first and second order stochastic dominance in the general k-prospect case. Our method is based on subsampling bootstrap.

This review examines how cellular behavior is regulated by mechanical cues transmitted through soft biomaterials, from single‐cell mechanosensing to tissue‐level adaptation. It highlights why physiological relevance, rather than model complexity alone, is critical for translational mechanobiology and introduces a scoring framework linking material ...

Testing for Stochastic Dominance with Diversification Possibilities [PDF]
We derive empirical tests for stochastic dominance that allow for diversification betweenchoice alternatives. The tests can be computed using straightforward linearprogramming.

Bioprinting High‐Cell‐Density Cardiac Tissue Constructs With Sustained Contractile Function
Contractile cardiomyocytes in 3D culture provide insights into the behavior of the heart. Combining a 3D bioprinting approach with a multi‐electrode array allows the development of the 3D culture to be monitored over time, and matured cultures allow the effect of drugs on cardiac function to be modelled, replicating effects seen in clinical application.

Weighted Repeated Median Smoothing and Filtering [PDF]
We propose weighted repeated median filters and smoothers for robust non-parametric regression in general and for robust signal extraction from time series in particular.

Hypothesis Testing in the Presence of One-sided Nuisance Parameters [PDF]
In this paper, we investigate whether similar improvements are observed when we have a non-sample information regarding the nuisance parameters in the testing problem.

Optimisation versus certainty : developing the use of economic evaluation for decision making. [PDF]
This thesis assesses the methods used in economic evaluation, the relationship of economic evaluation to decision-making and investigates the possible limitations of economic evaluation as it is currently used to support policies aimed at maximising
