Software for Discussing Parametric Polynomial Systems: The Gröbner Cover

open access: yes, 2014
We present the canonical Gröbner Cover method for discussing parametric polynomial systems of equations. Its objective is to decompose the parameter space into subsets (segments) for which it exists a generalized reduced Gröbner basis in the whole segment with fixed set of leading power products on it. Wibmer's Theorem guarantees its existence.

Identification of Parametric Underspread Linear Systems and Super-Resolution Radar

open access: yes, 2010
Identification of time-varying linear systems, which introduce both time-shifts (delays) and frequency-shifts (Doppler-shifts), is a central task in many engineering applications.

Automatic Deduction in Dynamic Geometry using Sage [PDF]

open access: yesElectronic Proceedings in Theoretical Computer Science, 2012
We present a symbolic tool that provides robust algebraic methods to handle automatic deduction tasks for a dynamic geometry construction. The main prototype has been developed as two different worksheets for the open source computer algebra system Sage,

Data driven discrete-time parsimonious identification of a nonlinear state-space model for a weakly nonlinear system with short data record

open access: yes, 2018
Many real world systems exhibit a quasi linear or weakly nonlinear behavior during normal operation, and a hard saturation effect for high peaks of the input signal.

Complexity of the resolution of parametric systems of polynomial equations and inequations [PDF]

open access: yesProceedings of the 2006 international symposium on Symbolic and algebraic computation, 2006
Consider a system of n polynomial equations and r polynomial inequations in n indeterminates of degree bounded by d with coefficients in a polynomial ring of s parameters with rational coefficients of bit-size at most $ $. From the real viewpoint, solving such a system often means describing some semi-algebraic sets in the parameter space over which ...

Parametric transient stability analysis using renormalization group approach

open access: yesInternational Journal of Electrical Power & Energy Systems
To elucidate the mechanism of power system transient stability, a parametric transient stability analysis method based on the renormalization group (RG) approach is proposed.

Vehicle parameter sensitivity with polynomial chaos

open access: yesRevista Iberoamericana de Automática e Informática Industrial RIAI, 2015
It is interesting to analyze the parameter sensitivity of mathematical models that describe physical systems, and it deserves particular attention the sensitivity study of models with uncertainty in the parameter values.

Parametric statistics of zeros of Husimi representations of quantum chaotic eigenstates and random polynomials

open access: yes, 1996
Local parametric statistics of zeros of Husimi representations of quantum eigenstates are introduced. It is conjectured that for a classically fully chaotic systems one should use the model of parametric statistics of complex roots of Gaussian random ...

Interpolation-Based Model Order Reduction for Polynomial Parametric Systems

open access: yes, 2019
In this work, we investigate a model order reduction scheme for polynomial parametric systems. We begin with defining the generalized multivariate transfer functions for the system. Based on this, we aim at constructing a reduced-order system, interpolating the defined generalized transfer functions at a given set of interpolation points.
