Copula–entropy theory for multivariate stochastic modeling in water engineering
The copula–entropy theory combines the entropy theory and the copula theory. The entropy theory has been extensively applied to derive the most probable univariate distribution subject to specified constraints by applying the principle of maximum entropy.

Background. The purpose of this work is to develop a method for mathematical modeling of nonlinear effects (parametric generation, parametric excitation of waves, and instabilities) arising from the interaction of electromagnetic waves with strongly ...

Theory of Parametric Amplification in Superlattices
We consider a high-frequency response of electrons in a single miniband of superlattice subject to dc and ac electric fields. We show that Bragg reflections in miniband result in a parametric resonance which is detectable using ac probe field. We establish theoretical feasibility of phase-sensitive THz amplification at the resonance.

Bifurcation of Travelling Wave Solutions of the Generalized Zakharov Equation
By using bifurcation theory of planar ordinary differential equations all different bounded travelling wave solutions of the generalized Zakharov equation are classified in to different parametric regions.

Exact computation for existence of a knot counterexample
Previously, numerical evidence was presented of a self-intersecting Bezier curve having the unknot for its control polygon. This numerical demonstration resolved open questions in scientic visualization, but did not provide a formal proof of self ...

Prospect theory: A parametric analysis of functional forms in Brazil
This study aims to analyze risk preferences in Brazil based on prospect theory by estimating the risk aversion parameter of the expected utility theory (EUT) for a select sample, in addition to the value and probability function parameter, assuming ...

Parametrized higher category theory
We develop foundations for the category theory of $\infty$-categories parametrized by a base $\infty$-category. Our main contribution is a theory of indexed homotopy limits and colimits, which specializes to a theory of $G$-colimits for $G$ a finite group when the base is chosen to be the orbit category of $G$. We apply this theory to show that the $G$-
