A numerical–experimental framework is developed for characterizing multi‐matrix fiber‐reinforced polymers (MM‐FRPs) combining epoxy and polyurethane matrices. Harmonic bending tests are integrated with finite element model updating (FEMU) to simultaneously identify elastic and viscoelastic material parameters.

A combined finite element and phase‐field approach predicts the evolution of microstructure during the directional solidification of Ni‐based superalloys. The model reveals how withdrawal rate, temperature gradient, and wall thickness control the dendrite spacing, highlighting the strong effect of surface regions in thin sections where dendrite growth ...

Interface with Parametric Theory
1989The nonparametric approach to efficiency measurement has several levels of interaction with the parametric theory e.g., specification, aggregation and econometric estimation. Although the linear programming (LP) specification was used by both Farrell, Johansen and the founders of the DEA model, one could certainly use nonlinear and parametric ...

The Theory of Parametric Identification
Econometrica, 1973This paper sets out a general criterion for the identifiability of a statistical system, based on Kullback's information integral. It is shown that the general identification problem is equivalent to a maximisation problem, or where parameter restrictions are present, a problem in nonlinear programming.
