The complete mitochondrial genome of Parasitus fimetorum (Berlese, 1904) (Arachnida: Parasitiformes: Parasitidae) [PDF]
For the first time, the complete mitochondrial genome of Parasitus fimetorum was sequenced. The mitochondrial genome is 14,619 bp in length and includes 13 protein-coding genes, 22 transfer RNA genes, two ribosomal RNA genes, and a control region.

Morphological variation of Varroa destructor (Parasitiformes, Varroidae) in different seasons
Varroosis is one of the most dangerous and common diseases of honey bees (Apis mellifera Linnaeus, 1758) worldwide, caused by gamasid mites of the species Varroa destructor Anderson and Trueman, 2000.

Some mesostigmatic mites (Acari: Parasitiformes) of Khuzestan Province, southwestern Iran
Animal droppings constitute an ephemeral habitat where specialized invertebrate communities including significant abundance of mites live together. In order to study the Mesostigmata mites associated with manure, samples were taken from different manure

Complete instars’ morphology of Zercon forsslundi Sellnick, 1958 (Parasitiformes: Mesostigmata) with notes on distribution and evolution [PDF]
To date, only adults of Zercon forsslundi have been known. According to the description of this species, it has been the first report of Zercon with clear differences in opisthonotal chaetotaxy between females and males, a unique character in the genus ...

Structure and molecular evolution of the barcode fragment of cytochrome oxidase I (COI) in Macrocheles (Acari: Mesostigmata: Macrochelidae). [PDF]
In the present study, we used all available data to explore the evolutionary relationships, divergence time, and amino acid variation of COI barcode fragment of Macrocheles. Our results revealed the less conserved structure of COI in Macrocheles species compared with arthropods.

Older Lineages of Oribatid Mites in Mountain Ranges Have Broader Geographic Ranges and Exhibit More Generalistic Traits. [PDF]
We investigated the radiation and trait diversity of soil oribatid mites from two mountain ranges (the Alps and Changbai Mountain). We found that phylogenetically older oribatid mites of mountain ranges have broader trophic variation, larger geographical range sizes, and more often reproduce via parthenogenesis.
