Structure-activity relationship of mono- and bisquaternary pyridines in regard to their parasympatholytic effects

Toxicology and Applied Pharmacology, 1972
The parasympatholytic effects of 4 monoquaternary and of 8 bisquaternary pyridines, i.e. derivatives of PAM, TMB-4 and toxogonin, have been studied on the isolated guinea pig ileum. They were found to antagonize the action of acetyl-β-methylcholine and furthrethonium. One monoquaternary compound was an exception.

The parasympatholytic effects of atropine sulfate and glycopyrrolate in rats and rabbits.

Canadian journal of veterinary research = Revue canadienne de recherche veterinaire, 1995
Nine groups of rats (n = 5 per group) received an intramuscular (IM) injection of one of the following drugs or drug combinations: saline, atropine (0.05 mg/kg), glycopyrrolate (0.5 mg/kg), ketamine:xylazine (85:15 mg/kg), ketamine:detomidine (60:10 mg/kg), atropine:ketamine:xylazine (0.05: 85:15 mg/kg), glycopyrrolate: ketamine:xylazine (0.5:85:15 mg ...
