5‐Substituted 2‐(naphthalen‐2‐yl)‐4H‐chromen‐4‐ones are reported as a novel class of highly potent and selective triplex DNA ligands. These ligands induce triplex formation at submicromolar concentrations and inhibit enzymatic activity via ligand‐mediated triplex formation.

Ambident Reactivity in the Phenyl + NO Radical Recombination
ABSTRACT The recombination reaction of nitric oxide (NO) with radicals via its oxygen atom, rather than the more common nitrogen site, offers an intriguing pathway to the formation of oxynitrenes. The photochemical isomerization of nitroso compounds into their corresponding oxynitrenes may involve such a step.

Abstract Mocravimod, a novel immunomodulator targeting sphingosine‐1‐phosphate receptor (S1PR), is being developed as a maintenance treatment for patients with acute myeloid leukemia undergoing allogeneic hematopoietic cell transplantation. Preclinical data suggested that cytochrome (CYP) 3A4 is the primary enzyme involved in mocravimod metabolism.

Thiopurine methyltransferase (TPMT) and Nudix hydrolase 15 (NUDT15) are key enzymes that catabolize thiopurines. Decreased or no‐function alleles in TPMT and NUDT15 are associated with reduced or no enzyme activity and predictive of pronounced adverse effects, including severe myelosuppression, that may occur among individuals treated with standard ...
